The Training School on Cryptanalysis of Ubiquitous Computing Systems takes place in São Miguel island, Azores (Portugal), April 16-20 2018.
The Azores Islands are a Portuguese archipelago in the North Atlantic Ocean, located about 1,500 km (930 miles) from Lisbon and about 3,900 km (2,400 miles) from the east coast of North America.
How to get to Ponta Delgada, São Miguel island
The participants can fly directly to João Paulo II Airport (PDL) located near the city of Ponta Delgada in São Miguel island. There are daily flights leaving from Lisbon and Porto to São Miguel island, operated by three companies: AZORES AIRLINES, TAP Portugal and RYANAIR.
There are direct flights also from other European cities (for example Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, London, and Amsterdam) to the João Paulo II Airport (PDL). It is also possible to fly directly from Canada (for example Toronto) and the USA (for example Oakland and Boston) to the Azores. Getting from the airport to the city
The João Paulo II Airport (PDL) is only a short distance from Ponta Delgada town center, so it’s a quick trip into the city. You can take a taxi, which takes about five minutes, costing around €12.
